| Description | Iona thought that having cycled the length of America she was up for anything, then she met the Reeds who use bicycles like most people use cars... It became apparent our speeds were never going to match (Alex always claimed Iona should pedal faster, Iona always thought Alex should have entered the Olympics). A tandem gives Iona the opportunity to enjoy the view (in Alex's words: act like a princess) whilst Alex can keep pedalling in race mode (and only occasionally remind Iona of the need to pedal). If you would like to (retrospectively) contribute to the tandem fund, please see below the available options. To ensure its safe and successful use on our honeymoon, we have already put our new tandem through some thorough testing (The Alps, Devon and Yorkshire were all strictly necessary!) JD Tandems are awesome, but even their pricing structure is a little more complex than above. Our parents kindly bought us the frame in advance, and any over buying of the above accessories will go towards tea/ cake/ lunch stops of the future.
