Tandem Club Ride on Sunday June 8th

The West Yorkshire tandem club are holding an invitation ride, anyone is welcome whether a member or not.
Meet at 10.30am Halifax Pool, Halifax. Easy ride of 30 miles mostly on quiet roads and cycle paths.
Cafe stop at Greenhead Park Huddersfield.
They are looking for volunteers to lead rides out if anyone would like to lead a ride, please let me know with your chosen date, time, starting place and some details of the ride. We will then circulate this to the other members.

Guess what, we had an excellent turn out of 8 tandems. It was a shame the weather forecast got it wrong as we had wind rain and some sun, never mind I think everyone had a good time and it was good to see some new faces out on a run.

Starting at JDs in Gargrave we went up the Bank Newton road around Wiggleswoth, Hellifield and to Airton for lunch. We the went up to Hetton Grassington and back through Thorp, for a welcome drink at JDs.
The ride was quite eventful with a puncture, chain break and finally a jammed chain which could not be released, thanks to Robert and Liz coming to the rescue in their van.
