Here at JD Tandems we have the pleasure of dealing with a really diverse customer base. We get to meet lots of lovely people and we love to hear about what plans they have in store with their new tandem. This year we have met some truly inspirational people taking part in all kinds of challenges
Emmy and Jake
Last month we had the pleasure of meeting this awesome couple. These guys are currently cycling from London to Copenhagen and are trying to raise £100,000 for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. They met when they were at school and are getting married in September. Emmy has been diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer and given a 20% chance of living 5 years. Despite this the pair have the most unbelievable outlook on life. Please have a look at their website, read the story and follow the blog posted daily. The Tandem Men
John and George got in touch with us last year and told us they planned on setting a new Guinness World Record to be the first male tandem team to circumnavigate the globe. They set off 25 days ago and are currently in Vienna. They too are fundraising for a number of charities and even have Sir Ranulph Fiennes as their patron. You can follow the boys progress with their online tracker, regular updates on Facebook and the website. They are riding a custom built Orbit Summit equipped with a Rohloff and carrying slightly more than just the two rear panniers they originally planned on taking
